You'll practise on the main roads connecting Wylde Green to Erdington, Sutton Coldfield town centre, and the wider area, as well as quieter side streets ideal for building your manoeuvring skills early on. Familiar local landmarks such as The Yenton and The Lyndhurst sit on roads that regularly feature in lesson routes, helping you build local knowledge alongside your driving ability.

Wylde Green is well connected to both of the test centres used by learners in this part of North Birmingham. The Sutton Coldfield test centre has now permanently closed, so learners in the B72 area now use the Lichfield Driving Test Centre or the Kingstanding Driving Test Centre. Your instructor will cover the relevant approach routes during your lessons.

Learners in the Wylde Green area are within easy reach of Fairfax Academy in nearby B75 and Bishop Vesey's Grammar School in B74 — both just a short distance away. We're pleased to offer pickups from either school — though we do ask that lessons are booked outside of morning start-of-day and afternoon home-time, when traffic around school gates is at its most congested. Mid-morning, lunchtime, or after after-school activities are the perfect slots and help us avoid the rush entirely.
