Learners in this area benefit from a unique mix of road types that you won't find closer to the city centre. Lessons here naturally incorporate quieter rural and semi-rural lanes, giving you excellent practice in road positioning, speed management, and dealing with bends and limited visibility — skills that are tested across all practical driving tests. As lessons progress, you'll build up to busier routes leading into Sutton Coldfield town centre and beyond.

The roads connecting Roughley and Whitehouse Common to the wider area via Weeford Road and the approaches to the A38 corridor provide a valuable contrast to urban driving. Your instructor will use this variety deliberately, ensuring that by the time your test day arrives you're equally at ease on country roads and busy town junctions.

The Sutton Coldfield driving test centre has now permanently closed. Learners in the B75 area now sit their practical test at the Lichfield Driving Test Centre or the Kingstanding Driving Test Centre. Your lessons will build familiarity with the routes to both centres so that nothing on test day feels unfamiliar.

The B75 area is served by The Royal Sutton School (formerly John Wilmott School) and Fairfax Academy, both local secondary schools. We're happy to collect you from either school for your lesson — though we do ask that pickups are scheduled outside of morning start-of-day and afternoon home-time, when school-gate traffic is at its peak. Mid-morning, lunchtime, or after after-school activities are the ideal times and make for a much more relaxed start to your lesson.
